SHORNCLIFFE LAKE PARK BYLAWS
CAMPING
- Entrance gates will be closed between 11 pm and 6 am.
- Quiet hours will be observed from 11 pm until 6 am. No objectionable disturbance or unreasonable noise will be allowed at any time.
- No glass beverage containers are allowed in the park.
- Overnight camping is only allowed in the campground area, or upon the premises of a leased lot provided the presence of a tent or recreational vehicle upon same does not pose an unreasonable obstruction or hazard, to be determined by the landlord or his designate at their sole discretion.
- A camping permit is required for overnight camping in all campsites and for any camping units in leased lots - (1 small tent per permit will be included).
- All campers must register and obtain a camping permit. These permits are non-transferable and non-refundable.
- The permit holder is responsible for all actions of visitors and camping party members in the campsite.
- All campsites are on a first-come, first-served basis with the exception of pre-booked family reunions.
- Only one recreation vehicle per campsite or leased lot is allowed unless other arrangements are made.
- Campers may stay for a maximum of 14 consecutive days in one allotted campsite. If staying longer campers must move to another site, unless permission is granted by the landlord or his designate.
- Visitor's vehicles should be parked in designated parking areas if they must leave the campground after 11 pm.
- Tents are only allowed in designated areas.
- Campfires are permitted only in the facilities provided for that purpose. Campers must ensure that all fires are extinguished before leaving.
- No person shall operate an Off-Highway vehicle in the Park.
- Individuals who cannot provide camping status may be asked to leave.
GENERAL
- Pets must be kept on a leash at all times.
- Cutting, defacing or removing park property or any plant, fossil or rock is prohibited.
- Feeding or harassing wild animals is prohibited.
- Liquor is allowed only within a camper's registered campsite. If a camper is found in possession of liquor in washrooms, camp kitchens, roads, beaches, picnic or other public areas, they will be subject to prosecution under the Alberta Liquor Act.
